Hik-Connect Hik-Connect not working abroad

Hi,
My Hik-connect works fine in the UK. When I go outside the UK I received an error message that I can only be connected to one server at a time.


Any ideas why this could be?

Just you accessing it?
i.e. not shared your devices/Hik-Connect with a spouse?

Do you see this message from the App on your phone?
IOS or Android please?

Does it make any difference whether you are using for example hotel wi-fi abroad or a foreign data network?

Have you found this to be the case in one particular country or multiple countries?

Hi thanks for your reply.
It's happened each time I'm abroad. In France and Greece so far. I get logged out. I'm then prompted to log back in choosing a country which I can't do for some reason.
The message is via the Hik-Connect App on IOS. I am the sole account holder not shared. This is using data and wi-fi.
I'm off to Dubai and am concerned the same thing will happen again.

Hi there,

Here I Roelf Siemens . Has The same problems in the doorbell app runs fine even I get notifications when some one is at the door.
Can see all camera video's back.
But when I travel to Germany I can open the app but get the message that the camera is offline.

Even when I try to open the app by VPN ipvanisch and log in from as a Dutch .
A can not see my doorbell.

Do you have any luck now to connect to hikvivion?

Could you please create a new thread for this query? It just means it is easier for everyone to find and respond to! Nobody pays any attention to old threads like this anymore :)

In the meantime, have you tried changing the 'Country' location in Hik-Connect, it might be the local network provider restricting access. Setting different locations in the app might prompt it to use different servers.
