The Hikvision app shows one of my ip cameras as offline. ( this was due to a faulty cable now fixed ) the camera is back working however the app still shows it offline. I can’t seem to refresh the app. Any ideas ?
I have had the same issue as this. It’s happened a handful of times with the same result, the camera is online in the web gui but not in the mobile app (iOS). Rebooting the NVR and/or camera has made it appear in the app again.
I deleted it via the Hik connect app.
Now i cant re add it !
its showing offline in the NVR
Camera has power as last night the IR was lit.
im going to renew the RJ plugs at either end in case theres a bad connection.

Resetting the NVR and/or camera has made it appear in the app again.
if i reset the NVR do i lose all the camera settings for motion detection etc?
am i right in thinking i can reset the camera itself therefore the NVR sees it as a new camera and brings it online?
much the same as if i retuned it as faulty and got a replacmement

Sorry! Reboot!! Reboot the cameras and NVR.
Will edit original post to avoid confusion.
N.B. When I tried rebooting the device by using the power switch on the back it had no effect.
It appears it needs to be a software controlled reboot. This button is found in the maintenance page of the system configuration. It is in the same location for the camera.
Update
All working fine now since i replaced the RJ plug at the camera end. Fitted new plug.
To get the app to see the offline camera i just logged out of the app and back in...camera now back online
hope this is of help to others
