HELP - Hikvision IP camera SD card wont initialize

Hi Guys,
I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2165G0-1 IP camera. I am having trouble with formatting the SD card. After much trouble i was able to format it but after about an hour the card status will revert back to unitialized and then i have to go through the painfull process of trying to format it again. 90% of the time the formatting process will fail.
I have have tried multiple SD cards (They are not fake)
Tried formatting on the PC first but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas. Thanks in advance for your help.

What firmware version is your camera running please?

For anyone else running into this problem, "Initialize" always stays as an option in the SD card page in the app. So long as the Storage Status page shows "Normal" this means the card is ready for use. Tapping on Normal lets you "Initialize" the card again (effectively formatting it again).

The status you want to be looking at is "Normal" if it says anything else then the card is not ready.

Without an SD card there will never be video playback available in the app, so that's another way to test with an Event detection.
