Floureon 5in1 Connecting IP Camera and Network at the same time

this is the dvr i have at the moment for my cctv, as you can see there is one network cable port on the back, so ii can either connect the dvr to the internet and stream everything through the internet, or i can plug in an IP Camera into the DVR and record the ip camera to the DVR, if i plug a switch into this port instaid and then plug both the network cable and the IP Camera cable into the switch, will i be able to do both?, hope this is enough to work off.

Yes, you would normally add your recorder to your network, add your IP cameras to your network, and expect your recorder to find those IP cameras on the network. It'll probably scan your network and look for the MAC addresses of known cameras.

oh right brilliant, so i plug the IP Camera into the network, and the network cable into the DVR, i was trying to put them both into the same DVR network port -_- thanks alot for the speedy reply.
