Hi,

I have a NVR DS-7616NI-E2-16P/A device with 4 cameras attached & active, but I have no video.

Scenario: A while ago I completed a factory reset on the NVR after which I could only get video output on one camera.

Now I am using a PoE Switch in the following manner:

NVR LAN connection into building Network Cisco Switch (NVR IP 192.168.1.130, 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway 192.168.1.1 - I can ping the NVR from my own computer)

NVR Connection 1 into PoE Switch Port 8 of 8 (NVR Internal IP 192.168.254.1 to 20)

PoE Uplink into building Network Switch

4 x PoE Cameras into PoE Switch

All cameras have been reset by

Disconnecting the power cable

Press and hold reset switch

Connect Power cable

Continue to hold reset switch for 10 Seconds

Wait until camera resets.

Still no video.

I would be grateful for any help/suggestions please?

Use the LAN port on the NVR to connect your NVR to your switch (not a camera port).
Connect any cameras that you wish to add to the switch.
Use SADP to find them.
Then use SADP to change their IP addresses to general LAN IP addresses (tick DHCP in SADP & Save, then untick and save).
Add those cameras, at their LAN IP addresses to the NVR using Configuration -> Camera Management and manual adding.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

One question - If I have connected my PoE switch UpLink - to NVR Lan, how then do I connect via SADP as I have no Lan connection?

Many thanks.

Hi,
Your POE switch uplink should connect to your router.
Your NVR LAN port should connect to one of your switch ports (or directly to your router).
