Hi,

I have a problem, this recorder is at my parents house where they have 6 x cameras connected.

When I or my parents try to connect to the cameras via a live feed or try to view line detection notification it takes around 20 seconds or so to load then only plays 2 seconds then freezes. This is all through the Hik-Connect app.

Obviously I cant go round due to lockdown but I suspect that the carpet fitters which they had there last week have damaged the network cable by smashing it with a hammer or something. Do you think im right in my assumption?

I did login to the NVR remotely to upgrade to the latest firmware (V4.50.000 build 210125) around the same time they where there. If no one else has had this issue im guessing I need to go round once lockdown eases to fit a new network cable to their router.

Very hard to say.
We'd work through a process of elimaination:
Is all OK on a local monitor?
Is all OK when checked with Internet Explorer on a local PC?
And so on, to work out at what stage the problem that you are seeing is being introduced.
 
Phew - darned carpet fitters!
But at least a quick and easy fix :D
