HI All,
I have 3x DS-2CD2542FWD-IS camera, one on the driveway, one by front door and one on side of house.

I noticed yesterday when doing a FW update that one of these cameras (driveway one) despite being on the same FW and exact same settings wont let me increase the resolution past 1920x1080p. The other 2 camera will allow and shows me in the drop down options of 1280x720p, 1920x1080p PLUS 2304x1296 and 2688x1520

all camera were bought in UK from Hik dealer and not Chinese import. can anyone shed some light? i've uploaded 4 screen shots (2 for the driveway camera at issue and one of the other cams which gives option for all 4 resolutions) screen shots show the basic information eg fw for both camera and the video/audio screen showing the resolution options...
hope someone can help....

IMHO - home-made network cables ...
And/or poor quality network cable?

Fetch the camera(s) local to the NVR with bought/short patch leads and check whether the limitation remains.

hi phil
ive just swapped the camera over and the same camera gives me the same result. also tried a patch lead and same again.... v strange...

looked at the lables on the underside all was identical (obviously apart from mac address and serial number) and one was 11/2015 the other 12/2015 other than that all identical .

Have you tried changing the settings under the camera interface rather than the NRV interface?

Oops, never mind. I see that's what you are doing.

hi
yep ive tried changing the resolution via the NVR and going into the camera directly itself.
