Hi guys,
I'm looking to upgrade one of my cameras and fancy giving the acusense / colorvu stuff a try, the issue is a have an older DVR.
I have currently got a DS-7208HUHI-K1 DVR with 5 cameras connected via CAT6 (using coax video and power baluns).
4 out of the 5 cameras are decent (hivision 5mp) so I dont really want to replace all these, its just 1 older one that could do with replacing.
Having done a bit of reading I think my options are...
1. Get an IP camera and PoE switch (so I can use the existing cabling). However I have heard that my DVR might not work correctly?
2. Replace the DVR for one with acusense built in. But I have read that using these aren't as good as the processing is all done by the DVR and not offloaded onto the camera? However, this would mean that I would be able to use all my existing cameras with acusense right?
