Connecting Cameras to iVMS-4200?

Hello,
i am looking for a free, good Camera management, recording, viewing software, so i can view all cameras (ip cameras, and analog through DVR) to set up a PC NVR. I need something that can ideally, connect to individual ip cameras, and also to analog camera feed, through the DVR) in one software on one PC.

What i need to know is how to connect a other brand camera to iVMS. (keep in mind i am by no means advanced in the IP camera world).

Could someone with experience please provide some suggestions...
i can provide more information...
Or, i anyone can suggest software that might be better, then i will try it out

If you need to connect cameras and devices from a broad range of manufacturers, then it is probably best NOT to use software from a camera manufacturer but instead to test software which the maker intends to be able to work with any cameras - perhaps try Blue Iris as it seems to be very popular.

For Linux fans, they tend to be keen on ZoneMinder.

Thanks for the reply, and Blue Iris is a good suggestion, however it does not seem very free .
