Client unable to playback on NVR?

Hi,

Taking over a site which has two 16 channel DS-7616NI-12/16P overall the site is a mess with multiple cameras not working.
However on one NVR the client is unable to playback any recordings, however on his mobile phone he can playback.

The unit that isn't allowing playback is running version V4.1.50.
Both units are in an office.

My first suggestion would be to upgrade firmware, but just in case this doesn't work has anyone else come across this?

It's possible that his user account on the affected NVR does not have playback permissions. If the mobile app is using a Hik-Connect login, then the user permissions are set by the system owner when sharing the site. Local login on the NVR (or when the app is connecting to the system without the Hik-Connect service) use user accounts and permissions. Though usually the NVR will display "no permission" if that's the issue.
