Hello!

I've been squeezing my brains out trying to get NoIP (www.noip.com) to work on my Hikvision NVR. I've tried all sorts of combinations and alterations, but nothing works. I've tried it on two different routers (different ISPs).
I am getting the the errors below every time:

EDIT: The forum throws a security error when trying to upload a screenshot.

The errors on the NVR are these:

Status: Connecting the address server failed

And below the DDNS input form:
No available URL to visit.

I've set DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
Forwarded ports 443, 554 and 8000 (not wanting to use 80 as I want to access by https)

It'd help to see some screenshots of your setup/settings

I've also tried setting the server address to dynupdate.no-ip.com, but to no avail...

btw, I am not allowed to upload a file on the forum:

Yeah sorry, you got me :rolleyes:

I just did a few tests and saw, that the status display on the webinterface isn't always accurate.

But if you log in to no-ip.com, you can see the last update of your hostname by pressing the (i) button.

Try as well to put a local DNS as your primary DNS (in most cases the gateway IP works), sometimes I faceing problems using the google DNS...

Hope this helps ;)

Hehe :)

Yes, I've keept a keen eye on the noip dashboardfor any updates, but there are none...

Well... I've put a Raspberry PI with a NoIP linux client on it as a compromise, until I can figure out what's wrong with the NVR...
