Hi all,

I setup my Hikvision system a few years back and now have a mix of UK and CH cameras with a UK NVR. After having lots of issues over time of running old firmware I thought I'd go through the upgrade process and get everything working correctly again.

My first step was to upgrade the NVR (DS-7608NI-E2/8P) but for some reason I'm not able to connect directly to it.

My local IP is 192.168.1.10 with default gateway 192.168.1.7
NVR 192.168.1.12 with default gateway 192.168.1.7

The SADP tool and IVMS-4200 can see the NVR but I can't connect to it via the web interface via 192.168.1.12

This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.12 refused to connect.

I'd really appreciate some help if anyone knows what is wrong?

Cheers

Are you using Internet Explorer?

Have you got past this?
(I can see a couple of subsequent Posts from you)

Hi, I was using Chrome, but have tried Firefox, Edge and IE (through Chrome IE Tab). All show the same error.

Clutching at straws, did you perhaps change the http port?

If so, you'd need to append the port you set after the IP address e.g. 192.168.1.12:8080 (or whatever you set it to)

Genius, it was set to port 81, Thanks for your help. IVMS showed the correct port, but SADP showed it as 0.

Hi, I need to get onto my NVR as viewing playback on my ipad don't work (another problem) anyway I can log into the first page of Hikconnect, but when I'm on the Device Management page and then click my NRV IP/Port No I get a messages saying about the server dropped connection. Now what does that even mean, is it my NVR, Boardband or Hikvisions site?
