Cameras not recognised when connected through switch

I've a weird problem which is driving me mad.

I've got a situation where I have an NVR in one room. Then one 15m run of CAT5 to a PoE switch at which point the cabling splits into three.

So long as I connect each camera individually up to the switch, each camera works (in turn). If I connect them one-by-one to the end of the 15m run of CAT5 (bypassing the switch) all is well.

But I can't get them to work if more than one is connected to the switch. And yes, I'm connecting them to the PoE ports.

Any ideas?

Hello Dane,
What camera models?
What switch model?
Has the switch got sufficient POE power budget to run all three cameras?
(not normally a problem, but just checking)
