Hi, I just received my DS-2CD2386G2-LU today and plugged it in expecting to be blown away and I was quite perturbed when I was greeted with an appalling image quality! Does this need setting/commissioning out of the box? I can't even read a street sign 20m away. I'm currently running a 7 year old cheapy Foscam 0.3MP and I honestly can't tell which one is better.
Also I can't seem to access any of the controls such as light or initialise focus. It says not supported. This is via Chrome web browser.
EDIT: just found the resolution settings and it's only giving me 640 x 480 max which is 0.3MP. How do you get the 4MP resolution?
EDIT 2: Found a youtube video in an Indian language explaining how to adjust the resolution. Now it works great.
