What can I use? My use case is that it absolutely must be wire free, as I can't drill through to run any cables.
I was looking at the Reolink Argus stuff, but I found it's not compatible with NVR's at all, which is frustrating.
It can be a regular wifi camera that can be hooked up to a solar panel \ battery pack

Hi @Himaro

Sorry to keep you waiting so long for a response here!

Arlo is our usual recommendation for wireless camera systems (for home security setups).

The camera needs to be ONVIF compliant to be compatible with Synology, which can be tricky to find with completely wireless cameras.

I know Arlo used to do this ONVIF compliant camera, but I'm unsure if it is still available. You're probably best asking about ONVIF / Synology compatibility with them directly.

Here's the datasheet for it - Arlo FlexPower ONVIF Wire-Free IP Camera

There's also a bit of information in this Synology Forum thread - Synology Community: Battery Powered Security Cameras compatible with Surveillance Station?

We've never dealt with battery-powered cameras, so are limited in what we can advise, I'm afraid :(
