You certainly do not need to have a business broadband account for a static ip address. Give sky a call and simply ask them if they can issue you one. Most broadband providers issue static ip addresses now, sky are one of these, you just need to ask.

I'm away in America at the moment. I activated hik-connect service before leaving so I can get line crossing detection notifications. It's been up for 3 days without a reboot. Im away for 2 weeks so if it stays up for these 2 weeks I guess it's OK. I will continue to monitor it.

when you login via chrome you should get an option to download a plug in. just thought though, maybe this is just for nvr's and not standalone cams.

try chrome ness, there is a new plug in that I personally think it works better than ie now.

That's the spec for the camera not the nvr. Maybe Phil or someone can help but I'm sure when it's connected via a nvr that feature does not work.

OK, a little more playing around I have found that if you use chrome with the new plug in. When you activate line crossing you have to draw a line on the video playing and then it takes a second or two to generate line crossing on the line you drew. This is very interesting as the original line...

I have just checked this now. It worked when I first logged in on Internet explorer. But then won't work now. It worked for me on line crossing. Definitely getting there, maybe the next update they will iron out the bugs and it will be working properly.
