Hik-Connect Using Chromecast with Google TV to Live view Hik-Connect on your TV

Sorry, im not very good with instructions. I followed instructions like the ones in this Link, but replaced the APK with the Hik-connect APK. I then installed Button Mapper on the Chromecast and remapped a button to open the app. When finished, the app icon didnt show on the home screen but was...

H265+ potential issue with LiveView on devices other than NVR?

If i log into the NVR web interface, the bit rate is greyed out, but if i log into the camera web interface, i can change the settings there. There is a video posted by Dan on this thread. Bit rate settings It shows a handy chart of Hikvision recomended bit rates at 1 minute in.

H265+ potential issue with LiveView on devices other than NVR?

I had something similar with the DS-7604NI/K14P(B). I found lowering the max bit rate helped with the live view over WiFi.

Can I use Hikvision's iVMS-4200 to view my NVR on a TV?

That is good to know about being able to leave the stream going. I wouldn't mind buying a nvidia shield or similar because It could always be used for something else too. I got the multiscreen view on VLC using channel zero but the resolution is very low. It looks alot worse than even the sub...

Thanks for the reply. I cant really run cables to this part of the house and wanted something i can just leave running so i can just switch tv input and the live view would already be there to view. I looked at wireless HDMI but it was a bit pricey for somthing the reviews said worked best...

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

Since lowering the substream fps on both cameras, the mainstream live view has been perfect. Would the NVR, (DS-7604NI-K1(B)), normally have problems with 2 cameras at full FPS on main and sub stream?

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

Just another Update. Yesterday, I lowered both camera substreams fps to 10 and since then, the mainstream Live view has been excellent. Its as if the NVR is struggling to cope. Lowering the camera resolution also helps (there at full resolution now). Anyway, I will keep check.

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

OK, after updating and a simple restore, the problem remains. After updating, the live view was perfect for about 12 hours but then started to deteriorate over time. Starting with what looks like a soft, out of focus trail behind moving objects, turning into a blocky/pixelated trail and even...

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

Updated to v4.30.000 this morning. When you say "reset and reconfigure" do you mean simple restore or factory defaults?

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

Update. After coming home tonight and looking through today's playback, the images have been better with a few issues here and there. I switched the resolution back to the cameras max resolution and all seemed ok at first but the longer i watched the live footage (a couple of hours), the worse...

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

The issue is still there with only 1 camera connected. The latest NVR firmware caused abnormal shutdowns for me when i have smart events enabled. The firmware installed is V3.4.112 build 200415 I had this problem on/off since setup. First on V3.4.109 build 191121 (Main Stream takes ages to...

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

Lowering the resolution to anything below the cameras max resolution, looks fine.

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

It isn't constant but is regular. The NVR was an *open box* from Use-ip

This happens when watching the live, main stream, from either camera, on the monitor connected to the NVR.

Pixelated/Randomly losing the main stream- from my Hikvision IP cameras?

I have updated the firmware on the cameras and still the same. I recently updated the NVR to v4.30.000 but had to go back because of abnormal shutdowns when i turned on smart events/intrusion detection. When the main stream is ok, i get what is displayed in the image.

Yes, Only 2 cameras both connected direct to NVR using POE. Whatever is happening, it happens to both cameras at the same time.
