Hi, i setup my first hikvision camera (DS-2CD2346G2-IU), firmware version 5.7.13build 230706.
I don't have NVR at the moment, i put an sd card into camera.
I added camera to hik-connect portal trough serial number, and i can see camera on my android hik-connect app. On app i also enabled notifications.
But, keeping enabled only cross line detection, i cannot get any notification. If i enabled Motion detection trough web gui, then i get notification on hik-connect app.

So, i'm bit confused, can't i get cross line notifications on app?
More, why in webgui i can't see any trace of alarms? I set continuos recording, but in playback tab, in timeline, i can't see something that let me understand when or if alarm happened. I cannot be able to test if crossline detection is working or not.

Is "Notify Surveillance Center" for Line Crossing Detection checked? ...

(DS-2CD2346G2-IU), firmware version 5.7.13build 230706

Your camera is a G5 camera... the latest Global EN (not sure of your region) firmware is V5.7.19 build 241207...

You can find it here...

https://www.hikvision.com/en/products/IP-Products/Network-Cameras/Pro-Series-EasyIP-/ds-2cd2346g2-i-u-/?subName=DS-2CD2346G2-IU+(C)

You need to select DS-2CD2346G2-IU (C) since that is the (newer) revision of the camera you have.

This firmware just came out and hasn't fixed some issues others were having...

New G5 camera firmware V5.7.19 build 241207 available on some product pages

Yes, of course.
More, in camera settings of hik-connect app i can see only intelligent detection, and inside only movement detection, if i enabled it trough web gui. Should i see here cross line detection too?

My region is Italy. Should i use firmware from my region or i could use Global EN?

Dot you think fw upgrade can fix my problem?

No - it won't in this case because there is no problem. Line crossing cannot be set up using Hik-Connect so you won't see teh options in Hik-Connect even if you've set it up in the web UI. You just need to set up line crossing first by logging into the camera with a web browser. Set up the line crossing, make sure that the option in Linkage Actions for Notify Surveillance Center is ticked. Once thats done the alerts will come through to the app.

I just made it. No notifications sent.
But i suspect the detection is not working on the camera, because i cannot see any detection in timeline playback.

Do you have a video or guide for help me check my line crossing setup? Can i disabled Motion detection and keep enabled only cross line detection, or both have to be enabled for working?

I cannot send it now, i'm not reach web gui camera now, but yes, configuration is like this.
Maybe it is important that i set h265+ coding for main and substream?

I am not sure, but I think that Continuous recording on SD card cannot mark or notify about Smarts Events.
You can try Event Recording on SD card(Purple selection), increase sensitivities, increase Pre-Record and Post-Record times(10 or 15 secs) so that to have longer event recordings and try again.
If your camera is a G5 platform, which should be so since there is no v5.7.13 on G3 platforms, then try also firmware v5.7.15 240411. Firmwares v5.7.13 and v5.7.14 had issues with Detection..

Europe and UK firmwares are the same.
Be sure yours is a G5 platform
