MacOS VS Player no longer works with MAC OS Sonama?

Tried to open VS player to view some recordings on my MAC machine today, the software briefly opens and then crashes multiple times.

I tried to download the installer again, to re-install the software, and MAC OS thinks it's malware and refuses to open it.

Any ideas?
VLC player no longer plays my recordings either..

apologies for the delay in responding to this but we don't have a new enough Mac in our office to test this issue so we had to wait for a response from Hikvision support. Unfortunately, it is not good news:

"After confirming with HQ, Unfortunately, the HQ will no longer maintain the Mac version of VSPlayer, and it will be delisted soon. So there is nothing we can do about this case, please try using VSPlayer on other systems."​

We've made it clear to them that we are very disappointed in this decision and also said to them that after seeing the support for Mac dwindle over the last couple of years we will have to consider making it clearer to customers that Hikvision is not Mac-compatible.
