Hi,

I have DVR iDS-7204HUHI-K1/4S(B) running V4.26.011, Build 201109 with 2 IP cameras. I did have analogue but since upgraded over time.

My issue is I can’t seem to playback from certain days from the DVR? Either directly on the console or via the web portal.

BUT I can playback from the hik-connect app?

The reason I want to playback on the DVR is so I can speed up the footage which I normally do?

So I go to the DVR and playback then select the 14th Jan and it says no file found? Some days have like a little blue triangle in the corner but others don’t including the 14th?

I go to the 14th on the hik-connect app but no way of speeding the footage up?

I will attach some pictures.

Hi @Jfd7000 - if the time settings on the cameras don't match the NVR, then that can cause playback issues, so it's worth checking those by logging into the cameras and checking under the system settings:

Also, make sure that the camera firmware is up to date - what are the models of your cameras and the firmware installed on them?

I have attached the screenshots for DVR and camera for the firmware.

Thanks, it looks like the camera firmware is up-to-date, so I'd check that their time is in sync with the NVR too.

Is there anything in the DVR's logs that coincides with the missing days for those cameras?
(Regardless, it's strange that you're seeing recordings in Hik-Connect for those days...)

Otherwise, I'm not sure what's causing those missing days - it could be a bug with that NVR firmware, or a compatibility issue with the DVR and camera firmware.

Do you see the same issue if you add the recorder to iVMS-4200?
Also, when you're able to view the playback for those days in Hik-Connect, are you viewing the HD stream successfully?

So from iVMS I get the same behaviour where the file cannot be found? I will attach screenshots of both. iVMS and Hik-connect. A separate question but should I not see an extra button in hik-connect for speeding up and slowing down footage?

That looks like the iVMS-4500 mobile app - can you try iVMS-4200 on a PC?

Did you log into the cameras in a browser and check the time settings?

Yes, you should be able to adjust the playback speed in Hik-Connect by pressing the "1X" button - you may need to use the arrow to expand the icon menu:

Thanks. I have looked at the time and all the same. The hik-connect app is missing the playback speed button? I am on an iPhone with the latest iOS and the app is upto date.

I have installed the windows app iVMS 4200 but it is still the same with no file found?

I will upload some screenshots.
Thanks.

OK, unfortunately, I guess not having the option to adjust the playback speed in the app is a limitation of your DVR. We've seen similar cases where cameras and NVRs have different options in Hik-Connect.

Sorry - I'm stumped by the missing days in playback, too, but we don't have much experience with DVRs.
Are the DVR's logs showing anything unusual (camera disconnections or recording issues) on those missing days?

Thanks for trying to help. I can’t find anything in the logs for those days.

I am considering swapping to an NVR anyway. I don’t need more than 4 ports. What is the recommended NVR for my cameras please?

I have DS-2CD2347G1-LU and DS-2CD2347G2H-LIU.

Thanks.

No worries - it's worth reporting it to your supplier, as they may be able to get Hikvision to investigate further.

If you're only connecting those two IP cameras, then the DS-7604NXI-K1/4P(D) would be our recommendation :)

Go to HDD settings and do Rebuild database, it will work afterwards
