When looking for a compact camera with AI, Hikvision might be the first brand that comes to mind. However, you might also want a camera that is NDAA compliant. Hanwha have recently released a new range of Wisenet AI cameras that are incredibly close options to Hikvision models. Because they are Q Series models, they also have the added bonus of being reasonably priced, making AI features more affordable than before.

These new cameras definitely reap the benefits of utilising a deep learning AI engine. The intelligent video analytics employ AI-based Object Detection and Classification. Therefore, cameras are able to detect the subject (person or vehicle) loitering, exiting and entering a pre-defined space. Area and line crossing and tampering can also be detected.

When an event is triggered by the camera, the range of Event Actions gives users notifications on other devices. Notifications include email, audio clips (which are played when integrated with a tannoy system), FTP, HTTP, and external alarms. Because of this, users can feel confident that typical security concerns are addressed.

Furthermore, the WiseMD (Wise Motion Detection) technology allows motion detection events to be shared with users with greater accuracy, reducing the amount of false alarms. Because of the implementation of AI in these cameras, their convenience and improved accuracy definitely makes them a standout choice in comparison to older Wisenet QNO and QNV models.

AI is also essential to the image quality of these cameras. The WiseNRII feature uses AI to identify movement and blur even in noisy, low light environments. Along with WiseNRII, the Wide Dynamic Range features are improved in these models and the models contain either 5MP or 8MP resolution, ensuring that the image quality is enhanced in all conditions.

Lens Distortion Correction technology is also included in these models to produce natural-looking images that are often created by conventional camera designs equipped with wide-angle lenses. With all of these features, it is safe to say that image quality won't be compromised.

Users can also have peace of mind with advanced cybersecurity that is implemented in these models. Data captured by the cameras is protected by user and network authentication, secure communication, access control based on IP addresses, and deep encryption. Installation is easier with a new style of mount plate and software installation is intuitive through utilising a Wi-Fi dongle. Applications suitable for these models could include retail, small commercial premises, residential and hotels.
