Hello all,
I am trying to wire an external microphone (see attached image 1) to my bullet cam.
Current set up: The bullet cam is hard wired to a Cat5 cable i.e there is no RJ45 connector. I had to do that to recover the cam from rain damage.
Anyhow...
The pin out wiring is absolutely fine and the video feed is now spot on. Refer to image 2 on the current pin out.
Right now on the cat 5 cable I am only left with "Brown" and "Blue" wire.
Can someone advise would it be possible to "hard" wire the microphone with 3 wires (12 V, GND, Audio out) to the exisitng Cat 5 cable.
This may mean i may have to tap the existing connection to power the mic as well as allow audio transmission via ip.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks!
