Managing remote devices with HikCentral

Hello. :)

I'm hoping someone on here can help me with the following.

We have a HikCentral (v2.6.1.20240816) server that we want to use to manage a variety of remote devices. Because of the potential issues with all of the different firewalls/switches/etc. between HikCentral and the devices, we've been advised that the best way to do this is to add the devices to our Hik-Partner Pro site and then import that site into HikCentral.

I've added a test device (a HikVision DS-7316HUHI-K4 DVR) to HPP, imported the site into HC and I can now "see" the device in the HC web client. However, there are several issues that lead me to believe that something's gone wrong:

1. HC is reporting that it can't get the device's time zone, no matter which setting I try (NTP or manual).
2. The device's IP address and serial number aren't listed.
3. Navigating the device's configuration pages in the HC web client is incredibly slow: it can take a full five minutes for the inital configuration page to appear; and after that it can take 30 seconds to a minute to move between config pages.

The only ports open on the HC server are 80 and 443. Do I need to open any others? I haven't done any port forwarding/DDNS configuration on the device itself. Is that necessary?

Many thanks in advance for any pointers/guides on what I've done wrong and whether this is the right way to add devices to HC.

No, thats about it.

Each request will take aprox 200ms. Its their server. I am using HPNetSDK for my custom integration with HikPartnerPro and i cant get any faster.

It is slow as well directly on Hik Partner Pro so on Hik Central it can only be slower.

IP Address information is not available when i query with HPP bearerTokenKey, so i guess its same for them

An example with postman:

Thanks for the reply. :)

Do you think I've missed anything or is this the best/only way to add devices on different LANs to HikCentral?

Vpn would be best, butif you want done solution from hik, Isup protocol is faster than hpp

Downside is, once you register at isup, hc or hpp wont work. Cant do both

It is, its just called differently its ehome 5.0

Am I missing something? I can see ISUP in HC but not on the DVR. The only protocol available on the DVR is Hik-Connect.

According to the manual, the K4 models need firmware version 4.30 or higher to use Ehome 5.0/ISUP. The latest firmware version for this DVR is 4.20.002. :(

I will check at monday, maybe i use special fw... cant rly remember anymore. But this model was on my isup server
