We have a fairly typical setup with an old analogue system. The DVR is in a comms room. There’s a monitor on the reception desk (long hdmi cable) with a joystick keyboard (RS-485)
I’m now looking to upgrading to 4K camera with a new 32 channel i series NVR.
I’ve seen a similar Hikvision NVR and the GUI is great but appears to be designed for a mouse. It had a DS-1006KI PTZ Keyboard connected and it wasn’t easy to use. Many functions required a mouse to get to.
What’s best practice here?
I don’t know if a better touch screen
Keyboard (e.g. DS-1105KI) would work or if I’m better off just getting a 30m usb extender!
