Hey All,

I was wondering if anyone can assist with some guidance , I recently purchased a

HKV DS-2DE2C400IWG/W (2.8MM)

1)From my understanding this device should be PoE, but when plugging it into a PoE switch or Injector the cam gets no power ?
2)I plugged in the normal AC adapter and network cable , the cam got an IP but i cannot seem to get access to the UI of the cam it just gives an error that it cant find document ect .
3)I registered the device on Hik Connect and shows up ect, But under network settings I cant seem to change any wireless settings.
I then scanned the QR code to try connect it to the WIFI , if find the SSID but it doesnt seem to be able to connect and says it can only use 2.4Ghz, I think this may be due to the SSID being Dual band.
4) I did upgrade the firmware so it is on : V5.3.8 Build 241123

I haven't tried to reset the device yet but thought perhaps there may be a better way ""

Thanks

Its not PoE, did you read datasheet before buying it?
Also unplug AC adapter as it works on DC only. You could burn it.

Thanks for your reply , So read that and didnt see the POE, I then asked the reseller and they said it was.

After much testing of this device . this is what issues ive been having .
It seems my boss bought it to test with we have run into some issues im not to sure if its just cause the model is new or thats the way it is :
1) Its not POE , I tested this with a POE injector and from a POE switch.
2) I cannot login to the WebGUI after it gets an IP address on the network it gives me an error message : This prevents me from doing any settings on the actual cam

I have tried adding the address to settings of explorer mode pages - doesnt work.

3) If I connect with ethernet and power adapter it boots gets on the local lan , I still cannot access the WebGUI , I can bring it into the NVR .
4) If I take it and scan with Hik Connect and connect it to the WIFI , it shows in HIK Connect , Gets an IP address on that LAN Same as the NVR, But I cannot bring it into the NVR or see it on SADP, Even though its on the same network.
5)Even with the WIFI mode showing on Hik Connect, I can add the cam to the Group of the NVR cams but when leaving it disappears .

Any ideas or guidance would be appreciated.

Well for starters you could try accessing web page using this script for enabling a real internet explorer.
Copy this in notepad and save as .vbs extension and run it

CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
