Hilook POE not posting?

So I bought two 8MP POE Hilook cameras to add to existing NVR.
Long story short, I bought a whole new NVR (NVR-104MH-C/4P) with two 8MP cams with it.

All set up and the 2 cams I bought without the NVR aren't posting at all.
I switched around the ethernet ports and the ports all seem to work.
I just plugged the 2 non posting ones out and in again, from the junction box and the NVR box end, but still nothing.

Here's what I'm seeing:

The 2 not posting btw are on 20meter cables and they're the furthest away which I don't think matters.

Any advice would be great as I'm super confused,
Cheers

Hi @PickaBoo

Were the 2 x 8MP HiLook cameras connected to that existing NVR before you tried to connect them to the new 104MH-C/4P NVR?
What camera models are the two problem 8MP HiLook cameras?

Hi, no the old NVR was BNC cable and not POE. I pretty sure there the exact same

Hikvision HiLook IPC-T289H-MU (D) ColorVu IP 8MP

all 4 are this camera

this is how is looks on the phone It naming the npn working as IP adresses or 4@fc .. whatever that means. the only thing i can think todo is a factory reset on the NVR scdreen.jpg

Okay,

So the cameras were first set up on your local network and then you plugged them into the PoE ports on the new NVR?

If that is the case, the cameras won't be detectable when plugged into the NVR PoE ports because they have already been activated with a password and local IP addresses.

The simplest way to get these cameras to work via Plug & Play on the NVRs PoE ports would be to hard reset the 2 cameras, you should find the hard reset button under the MicroSD card cover on the camera and you can follow the below instructions to perform the reset:

1) Unplug/power down the camera
2) Hold down the reset button on the camera
3) Whilst holding the reset button down, plug the camera back in and continue to hold the reset button for a further 20-30 seconds
4) Once that time has elapsed, release the reset button and the camera should be reset

If you perform the hard reset while the camera is connected to the NVR ports, it should automatically activate and connect to the NVR once the reset is complete.

This may be the case , I could of accidentally assigned them to the local network when setting up.
I'll try this reset and see if it works.
Nothing to lose I guess.

Cheers for the help again

Need a plan B.
So, I took down the camera and plugged it in with another Ethernet and did the reset but still nothing.
The light on it flashed when plugged in, so it works.
It just keeps saying detecting on screen.

And, I don't think this means anything but SVC is off on the non working 2, but I'm assuming it's because they're not working.

Does this get bumped if i repost on it or have i to make another thread ? il post the question here anyway.
But this seems to be my problem even tho i might not have done what is said in this quote , i just plugged all the cams in and only 2 posted basically
comment below from another source... iv reset both NVR and 1 of the non posting Cams

''If the cameras were plugged in and powered at the same time prior to being initialized or connected to the NVR, you now probably have an IP address conflict OR because they are not connected to POE ports of the NVR, your home network is on one IP address range and the cameras are on another so they cannot be seen. Default IP address is 192.168.1.108. What is the IP address range of your LAN system - if it isn't 192.168.1.xxx you have some work to do.

You have to connect them one at a time to the NVR, or in your case since they are not connected directly to the NVR, you will need to manually add each one as the NVR probably will not find them''

My point here is, im not sure how to go about this process and if it is Really the problem

Hi @PickaBoo

What you've shared above is the same issue I described in my earlier reply:

If you perform the hard reset while the camera is connected to the NVR ports, it should automatically activate and connect to the NVR once the reset is complete.

You said this didn't work and the cameras were still showing as 'detecting', the only other thing I can think might be causing problems is the NVR activation password not being strong enough to activate these new cameras.

Security measures were introduced to the professional Hikvision network products a while ago where a strong password was required to activate new cameras, a strong password must include 3 of the following - lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and special characters.

If your NVR password is not strong (e.g. doesn't feature at least 3 of the above) then we would recommend changing the NVR password to something strong, reset the cameras again, and try reconnecting them to the PoE ports (If this does work, it's likely your old cameras will disconnect because they will have been activated with the old password. You will have to switch these cameras to Manual in the camera management menu and manually enter the old password to get them back online).

Oh my bad i read this different then, yea i reset the cam like u said and tryed it and it didnt work yes. and also reset the NVR, But used the same password as before, so now ill rest the NVR and cam again and put a longer password in.
If it is to do with not a strong enough password. i personally think thats stupid if its not posting due to a weak password or it should atleast warn u.
ill try all of the above and see what happenes.
thanks for your time again.

I reset a cam and the NVR and made new password but still the same. i tried deleting the cam from the NVR and it says POE deleting is not allowed. Tried messing with the edit IP and filled in the start IP address with the same number as showen besid ethe cam not working, and changed the last digit a couple of times to see, still nothing.
heres what im seeing and would any other pics or info help ? Im going to phone the company i bought them off tomorrow and see if there able to help.
pretty much the same pic from above

Is there a way to start from scratch on set up like, delete all the apps on devices and hard reset the NVR some how ? so i can just plug and play all 4 again at the same time.
Iv no idea how to chage the IP manually and what IP number to use to be honest.
Cheers
