Hikvision TandemVu Cameras
Hikvision's range of TandemVu Cameras were designed to combine the use of PTZ and Bullet cameras.
With this capability, TandemVu Cameras can hold overall, panoramic views (using the Bullet lens) even during pan, tilt, and zoom manoeuvres (using the PTZ lens), so you never miss a thing.

Experience 100% Security Coverage with No Blind Spots - Now Available at Use-IP
The 2-in-1 Lens Design also makes TandemVu Cameras a cost effective choice, for anyone in need of PTZ, and/or, Bullet lens capabilities. With one Camera that offers both, there is no need to buy two separate Cameras
Key Features
Impressive Image PerformanceWith 2 x 4MP lenses, and a super-wide 180° view (with no image distortion), Hikvision's TandemVu cameras provide High-definition Video/Image quality. This is then enhanced by the inclusion of technologies like, ColourVu and DarkFighter.
ColourVu Technology
TandemVu Cameras are also equipped with Hikvision's ColourVu Technology, featured in the Bullet units. Designed to capture high-quality, full-colour images, Day and Night, the inclusion of ColourVu technology offers users clear, detailed imaging for video evidence - a necessity for advanced security setups.
DarkFighter Technology
While the Bullet unit features ColourVu, the PTZ units are equipped with Hikvision's DarkFighter Technology, designed to enable HD colour images down to 0.0005 lux. With these two lenses working together, images are kept as clear, detailed and colourful as possible, regardless of the time of day.
Smart Security Features
Built to feature an intelligent AI, TandemVu Cameras are able to differentiate between real security threats, and everyday moving objects (like falling leaves, or animals), as well as detect humans and vehicles. With this ability, TandemVu Camera users can take advantage of smart linkages to check on trespassers as they move (being able to follow them with the PTZ lens, while in its coverage)
Users are also offered the use of a range of Deep Learning Algorithms (capable with the TandemVu's AI chipset) to achieve even more advanced security, even in complex scenarios. These Algorithms Include:
- Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)
- Facial Recognition
- Multi-Target-Type Detection
Application Scenarios
Perimeters
In the past, users would have required several cameras to cover large perimeters, leading to management becoming complex, expensive, and users bothered by an excess of false alarms, but with Hikvision TandemVu Cameras these past problems are no longer an issue.
With a single TandemVu Camera, users can cover a wide area (with its inclusion of longer IR Distances and larger Zoom Ratios) more effectively (with the features mentioned above)
City Intersections
Before TandemVu, one intersection would need to be covered by several cameras (at least 4, for complete coverage) and even after costly, and excessive installation, zooming in would mean losing the bigger picture.
Now with Hikvision TandemVu, the use of Bullet and PTZ lenses, together, means that users are able to keep track of targets, without losing their overall view of the scene. As the Bullet lens secures the panoramic view, users can zoom, pan, tilt, and track their target with the PTZ lens.
And, with DarkFighter and ColourVu (as mentioned above) images kept clear and colourful even at night.
Public Squares
With no specific entrances or exits, Public Squares must be constantly monitored, which, in the past, has proved difficult to achieve effectively, since conventional cameras cannot provide sufficient coverage or zoom to get necessary details.
But, with the TandemVu range, users can monitor large, open spaces more effectively than any camera before, and can capture even the smallest details.
While its Bullet lens monitors the panoramic view the PTZ lens (able to rotate and zoom) focuses on the details. Users are also able to manually draw a frame, in the Bullet lens image, and then zoom in with the PTZ to view details quickly.
Motorways
Covering the entirety of a Motorway, or any other road, with conventional CCTV Cameras is an enormous installation - costly, time consuming, and difficult to manage. It would also be near impossible for these cameras to track vehicles at high speeds, or to capture key information in poor light.
But now, with Hikvision TandemVu Cameras users can achieve the abilities of multiple Cameras, with just one. With its Bullet lens to monitor multiple lanes on an expressway, and its PTZ lens to track fast-moving vehicles effectively (even able to gather information like license plate numbers - with ANPR - or vehicle type), TandemVu Cameras are capable of incredibly effective security, even in demanding environments like this.
Outdoor Car Parks
In a scenario like this, security need to be aware of their lots operating conditions. This has not been easy in the past, as conventional cameras are not capable of keeping the whole scene in view when zooming in for details, but, with Hikvision TandemVu cameras, parking administration and security can be made easier than ever.
With its Bullet lens, users are able to keep a view of the overall image, so the overall parking lot status can be monitored at all times, while its PTZ lens can be used to track incoming/outgoing vehicles, gather information (like license plate numbers - using its ANPR capabilities), and to perform detailed monitoring of targets when an incident occurs
