Hikvision - Email alerts set-up?

Morning,

Trying to set-up a Hikvision NVR to forward smart events through to an email.

I am trying to these settings on the Advanced settings tab email.

I am struggling to set this up with Gmail. I know someone mentioned you have to make changes to the Gmail for it to work.

Can someone share that link for me so I know exactly what to do?

No email alerts via Gmail now?

For the past few days I've not been receiving any email alerts. If I check "Alarms" on IVMS 4500 I can see that that app is receiving alerts, but I don't get any alert (i.e. I only know if Line Crossing has been activated by taking the time to search within IVMS 4500, obviously missing alerts as...

The guide linked at the end of the thread @uvs-300 has shared above covers how to set app passwords up so you can use Gmail, but to clarify, you need to have 2-Step Verification enabled to be able set these up

Then, this page is where you can set the app passwords up.

I messed around with this Gmail thing and could not get it too work. I am sure I was f*cking something up on the settings.

Anyways, I ended up using Outlook and worked perfectly fine. Seems to be more simple. Thanks
