How to Configure the Hikvision DS-2CD2E43G2-U for Night Vision

Can anyone help me with configuring my Hikvision DS-2CD2E43G2-U camera for night vision?

I want to ensure it captures clear footage at night. Any tips or steps to follow would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Laura O.

The camera model you have is an indoor in-ceiling dome camera and doesn't support IR LEDs for night performance, so you will get a colour image 24/7.

This is fine if the scene it is covering is well lit 24/7 but if your scene is dark at night then you won't get very good night images and there probably won't be much in terms of settings we can recommend to make significant improvements.

If you share some screenshots of the camera's current night performance we can see if there are any settings adjustments we can recommend.
