It seems most people get these cords with their NVR but it seems that I did not. Does anyone happen to know the names of the cords that I have to buy to connect my DS-7604NI-Q14P (Hikvision NVR) to WD Purple 6T (HDD)? Already tried a few cords with no success. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi @nickrv

So are you missing both the power and SATA data cables from your NVR?

HDD SATA cables are very common and you can get them from most computer component shops.

The power cable is trickier, we have run into problems in the past when trying to source replacements because the Hikvision NVRs don't use the standard shape/size plug for connecting the power cable to the NVR board.

Thanks Dan, for telling me the name of the data cable! I'll order some of those. I have one that is attached to another piece (something I ordered earlier) so once I find a clean way to cut that I'll give that a go, don't think I'll ever use it for anything else.

Given what you said about the power cord I just decided to use the one for the other unit, a DVR, I had for now. It fits so that's great. Any idea what that is called and how one would go about ordering another one? I saw someone call the weird sized head on the cord a molex 4-pin
