Cameras/NVR's with good app notification system

I've currently got 2 hikvision cameras and one dahua camera running through synology's surveillance station.

I've tried both the hik-connect and gDMSS apps plus DS Cam to get reliable push notifications. At the moment I've been disappointed by them all.
DS Cam and hik-connect seem to be sporadic on when they notify (although emails are fine). The gDMSS seems to notify ok, but the actual notification received is very basic without clicking on it, launching the app and watching the video.

Seeing things like nest's cameras with their animated notifications, is there anything in the NVR/cameras world that can offer anything similar? Even just getting a reliable instant push notification that include an image in would be an improvement.

Sorry, I can't add much.
We only ever get hands-on with the Apps from the manufacturers.
In a recent industry comparison, the Hik-Connect & iVMS-4500 Apps fared quite well.
But then, they considered Push Notifications an advanced feature and decided that Dahua's App performed better than Hik for advanced feature
