I am monitoring my camera with built in mike, through my NVR via its HDMI cable to a pc monitor without speakers, therefore I cannot hear the sound from the camera, it is enabled for video and audio in the NVR gui. If I export a clip and play it on a pc I can hear the sound okay. However I do not have a windows pc, so can I use the audio in/out phono sockets on the back of the NVR to listen to the camera's live audio as it happens by using some sort of speaker and amp combination. Or is the audio in/out on the NVR for something else? I just want to be able to hear the sound as it happens whilst watching live video fed to a monitor screen that does not have internal speakers. I cannot use a browser or the software disc provided with the NVR as I do not have a windows os computer.
