I updated an H8 firmware ANPR camera (iDS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHSY) to the latest firmware on the UK portal (V5.8.20 231024)
But now I see the captured photos have the camera view OSD text overlay included on them (actually over the photo). This is bad for two reasons:
1) It's not necessary as you can configure what text data you want to include on the BOTTOM of the photos in VCA -> Road Traffic -> Text Overlay
but more importantly:
2) Now it's possible for the OSD text overlay elements to obscure the number plate (or other elements of the captured photo which may be important). Not really what you want from an ANPR capture!
I can't see any new option to remove the OSD, from the captured photo so currently it seems the only way to remove it is to disable the OSD element/s. But then of course your main/sub video streams don't have any information on them.
Not sure if this is an intentional change by HikVision or just a mistake by them in this firmware. The UK portal site had no release notes of course.
