Motion Detection Zone Resting after NVR Reboot

Today I contacted Hikvision and experienced some of the worst customer service of my life. "You contact Installer... Installer, no call here, call Installer." Advertising Hilook cameras as consumer grade minus any consumer support, is a complete Joke. I'm actually quite confident my issue only...

Motion Detection Zone Resting after NVR Reboot

Hi, I have a HiLook NVR 108MH-C/8P, and this is driving me insane. After configuring motion detection zone via the NVR it works perfect, but after rebooting the NVR the motion detection settings are lost and I have to redrew the squares. My camera is "IPC-T283H-MU" and has the latest firmware...

I ended up going with the 12v fan as opposed to the 5v version, and confirm all is working well.

    Fan for HiLook NVR-108MH-C-8P

Thank you David. I have decided to use a HDD SATA power splitter to power the 5v Noctua fan rather than connecting straight to the mainboard.

    Fan for HiLook NVR-108MH-C-8P

Hi, I have a HiLook NVR-108MH-C-8P, and during summer I'm finding its getting really quite hot with my WD 7200rpm Purple. I would like to install a 40m fan to help with the heat. I looked inside the case and notice on the motherboard there is a 2pin connector. (Please refer to picture below)...

POE Distance Setting (Long vs Short)?

Hi All, All my cameras are significantly less than 100 meters in Ethernet distance. I have HiLook NVR (HIL-108MH-C-8P), should I be setting the POE distance to Long Range or Short Range? It seems that some people just set Long Range regardless of distance to improve stability. Does anyone...

    Rotate HiLook Camera 90 Degrees?

All the research on this forum and around the web suggest I should throw the HiLook NVR in the bin and purchase Blue Iris. Playback is apparently 100x better and some really nice features, and is more stable.

2.8mm or 4mm for this Area?

Thanks Dan, I will run some additional measurement over the coming days. I am worried about IR LED reflection on the walls.

2.8mm or 4mm for this Area?

Hi Dan, thank you for the reply. The 2.8mm model currently installed is a HiLook Pro 8MP IntelliSense (IPC-T283H-MU) I am considering changing this to a 4mm using the exact same HiLook model.

    Rotate HiLook Camera 90 Degrees?

Thank you. Although I'm now having difficulty in the web browser live/playback as the camera is showing as very stretched. The same goes with the HiLook iPhone App. However the NVR is displaying the image correctly, and the exported videos are also working as should. Any reason the web...

Hi all, In the below picture, I have a 2.8mm installed at the corner of the ceiling, but wondering if a 4mm would be more appropriate for this angle? Thank you

    Rotate HiLook Camera 90 Degrees?

Hi @JB1970 , I unmounted my camera and opened up the housing so I could flip the lens to portrait. Unfortunately the internal hardware of the camera does not allow this. (I think because the HilookIPC-T283H-MU is a budget camera) So as an alternative I just rotated the entire ball itself as...

    Rotate HiLook Camera 90 Degrees?

Hi Dan, thank you for the reply. Unfortunately the VCA Resource option is not present in my system settings. Buying this HiLook brand was a big mistake for me. I might see if i can try and rotate the inside of the camera physically.

HiLook NVR compatibility with Hikvision 8MP camera?

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and currently own a HiLook NVR and Cameras. Does anyone know if this Hikvision camera DS-2CD2H86G2T-IZS(2.8-12mm)(C) will work/connect with the HiLook NVR-108MH-C/8P 8CH ? HiLook don't currently offer an 8MP Varifocal lens, the most they do is 5MP, which is why i...
