Ho Dan, I've tried that and it doesn't do anything. All that leaves to try is initialisation, which will erase all of HDD. Is that the next step to try?

Hi Phil, Thanks for the advice, I will remove 2 of the ones that have always worked then monitor any change. I suppose I could remove the power supply entirely and use a POE switch. Thanks and have a good weekend

Hi JB, firstly thanks for taking the time to respond. I've got 6 analogue and 2 ip cameras through DVR It's one of these cameras. I use a power supply and then one of these cables, see picture. I will try and change the power output in the power supply to see if it resolves the fault. Thanks

this is a very detailed and helpful response, I've got it set up to local but on HD and 7 cameras, 2 of which are ip colourvu ones if that makes any difference. Thanks again for your help
