I have no mouse and display connected to my NVR. I hope I can use a different method to counter the error and successfully upload the new firmware. If I press auto-update, the NVR says I already have the latest firmware. Which is strange because there is a new one on the official site.

I am trying to update my M series 7608 from V5.03.020 to V5.04.20 through the NVR web interface. I receive an error: "Upgrade stopped. Please check the network connection and try again." Any clue?

I resolved it using the email-recovery procedure. After successfully login in I noticed that I did not set the security question option at all to my surprise. That is why it did not offer me to enter text in the first place. Case solved! Thanks.

I would like to use SADP to reset admin password. I select "Security Question Mode" but then I can't put the mouse on the text fields to edit and to answer the questions. Did anyone come across this issue? Using the latest SADB tool on Windows 11 desktop.

Thanks, I will refrain from updating. I would expect Hikvision to pull back the update given the findings until they resolved this.

Thanks for the clarification, the vPro model is available in the Netherlands but double the price of the non vPro model. I'll go for the non vPro as I probably don't need the AcuSearch function anyway, at least not given the steep price.

Great, would the DS-7608NI-M2/8P as successor to my DS-7808NI-I2 be able to have all of the AccuSense and AccuSearch options? Or would you advise the much more expensive vPro? All of my camera's are DS-2CD2387G2-LU (I believe these have AccuSense?)

Last question, I currently use DS-2CD2387G2-L(U) These are all ColorVu, not AcuSearch I believe. Does it make sense to buy an NVR with AcuSearch? Is AcuSearch the same as AcuSense? I just want to make sure I have the right combination with all of the features unlocked.

Is Hikvision preparing to upgrade the M-series anytime soon? I am in the same boat, trying to replace my EOL I-Series NVR. Using DS-2CD2387G2-L(U) camera's (ColorVu).

When going into the settings of my colorvu G5, the option is there to record rules to the capture. I tested it and it does show rules, but only on the local SSD streams...

Would that be "Display targets pattern" in the following section? I don't know what is the difference? Hikvision logic?

Hi all, using DS-7808NI-I2 and colorvu camera's G5 Can I record the rule information to the NVR so I can see the rules that I have set for my events while playing the stream? I know this can be done for the Live View settings but I would like to capture this to the NVR. Anybody knows?

Update: I twisted the camera position a bit upwards and now (to my surprise) I do get events captured a night!

I am not sure, but I notice in the screenshot for the smart (intrusion detection) event there is another slider called duration. That indicates the "supplemental light" is part of the event - trigger (and not meant to gradually turn on when it gets darker outside).
