Experienced this also when using DDNS. As far as it seems it is only possible to get push notifications to an app when using Hik-Connect.

Updated here as well, no experiences with inputs but I did experience an issue with the Hik-Connect notifications not showing the proper channel name which was fixed by going in and removing the space.

@fin Glad to see you got it sorted finally! So essentially the jist of it is that it needs manual intervention from them as we suspected? Update: Just tried and says all agents are offline. Will have to try again earlier in the day tomorrow.

Unfortunately the automatic firmware upgrade has never been something that has worked in my experience either. I often find that it's not worth updating unless an existing issue really needs fixing.

Noticed this throughout the last few firmware versions. H.265+ hasn't worked properly on our NVR with G1 cameras among other issues with H.265+ so have had to set everything back. v4.40.017 was released within the last few days but this firmware hasn't fixed outstanding Hik-Connect issues with...

Not sure if -I series would even support rolling back to V3, on the EU portal it says "not support for 7732-NI-I4_24P before V4.1.64 !!!!!" Literally everything else I have ruled out and even at one point had a new -K2 series DVR running with Hik-Connect with no issues on the same network...

Ours is a DS-7732NI-I4(B) so a non-POE model as well. Essentially the same model as yours to my understanding. This has been an utterly dismal user experience as there is no other way to get push notifications.

Version V4.40.017 appeared on the UK portal, updated and guess what... issue still persists.

Nothing yet still, being the time of year it is as expected no further firmware updates either for -I series.

Seems to be a different story with -K and -I series as there seems to be no workaround so far with -I NVRs. Hoping HikVision release an update!

This particular issue in the post relates to the NI-I series NVR, I believe ours actually shipped with the V4 firmware so even after switching to the oldest possible firmware, still hasn’t resolved it for these NVRs it seems!

Definitely would rule out ISP and DNS issues. Several tried

I thought this as well, although it had been working just fine before even through changing ISP and changing network equipment. Started literally as soon as I updated from v4.22.005 and seems to be very similar for others.

I actually went so far as to try and put the NVR on what was essentially a wired "MiFi" network just to temporarily try it with a different ISP, still didn't work so that helped me rule out any issues of it perhaps being ISP specific.

It's either a firmware issue or a service issue, whichever it is - it still doesn't work!

A full "restore defaults" was what I tried a couple of times, there is also "restore to inactive" but I don't think that does a full reset.

This is the problem unfortunately, difficult to get across to them how many troubleshooting steps you have tried and they always give basic information that isn't going to help rather than just take onboard the fact that it is an obvious firmware problem.
