    Latest HikVision Firmware for -I NVRs - new V4.21 (76XX, 77XX, 96XX NI-I)

Great thanks @Dan really appreciate it. Hopefully the fact it worked in 4.1.64 and doesn't in the latest version means it's not a bug that's too difficult to fix!

    Latest HikVision Firmware for -I NVRs - new V4.21 (76XX, 77XX, 96XX NI-I)

Yes it only works on a single camera view, but useful if you need to watch recordings in sections on interest. In the new version of firmware 4.21 though this no longer works in the web interface. Hoping @Dan or another of the Use-IP team can log as a bug with Hikvision, as it works ok in...

    Latest HikVision Firmware for -I NVRs - new V4.21 (76XX, 77XX, 96XX NI-I)

Thanks @fullboogie I have just spent some time testing this in a few combinations. I upgrade the I series NVR recently purchased from Use-IP to 4.21 and confirm that motion events no longer show on recordings int he web interface, but do show as red marks on the NVR interface itself...

    Latest HikVision Firmware for -I NVRs - new V4.21 (76XX, 77XX, 96XX NI-I)

Did this just stop working for you in the latest NVR firmware, ie 4.21? I have reverted back to 4.1.64 and do see the red marks in the web interface again.

    Latest HikVision Firmware for -I NVRs - new V4.21 (76XX, 77XX, 96XX NI-I)

Has anyone managed to test if the recordings as viewed in the web interface show red marks against movement in the timeline when using the new firmware as yet? For me this stopped working, hence rolling back.

I Series NVR using 'clip' function

I am using an I series NVR to try to make 'clips' of videos taken. When I play these clips back in VLC player, I find that the section of video clipped from the NVR is rarely the section I thought - usually the clip starts later then I thought and I have to re do it starting much earlier and...

    Latest HikVision Firmware for -I NVRs - new V4.21 (76XX, 77XX, 96XX NI-I)

I tried this version this evening, but rolled back to 4.1.64. The issue I had is that I need a feature in playback that seems to be broken in the new release. I have some cameras set to record continuously but also two set to record on motion detection as well as continuous. Then in...

    Unusual HikVision Camera

Hi, I have been given a HikVision camera, which appears to work fine. SADP was able to activate it with no problem, and it works with the NVR I recently purchased from Use-IP The things that make it unusual is that the user interface doesn't have the HikVision logo and what would display as...

    Aspect Ratio

Hi @Dan thanks for this - I have just tried and it's also working for me now. You might be right about browser cache, as we have seen Hikvision upgrades sometimes scramble the menu until a full refresh of the browser. Really appreciate you following up with Hikvision on this one.

hi watch cameras with Hikvision NVR

While I know it's not generally recommended I have had a chance to test this as I was give a HiLook camera - which I understand are simialar to HiWatch now. The camera is a PTZ-N2404I-DE3, connected to a DS-7608NI-I2-8P. It works just fine. It was recognised as a HikVision camera and is...

    HikVision NVR recording types

Thanks for this. With this setup I am only seeing the continuous (purple) on the playback timeline, not the motion detection. However am looking on a browser into the NVR, so will try on the NVR itself.

    HikVision NVR recording types

Ideally I want to use a HikVision NVR (running V4.1.64) to record cameras continuously, which shows as a purple bar in the timeline in the playback window. I also have Motion detection set for two cameras, which can be configured to email when it detects motion. This works fine. My question...

    Aspect Ratio

Great thanks Dan for the update. Hopefully they will find a fix soon. I wonder if they might consider an option in the firmware to lock the aspect ratio or at least set the default for a given camera. Defaulting to 'dynamic' aspect ratio almost always results in a distorted image

    Aspect Ratio

@fullboogie No problem at all. So far I am impressed with the video quality. It only arrived today, so if you give me a few more days I will have more experience of it and can post a quick review. One immediate thought though - it gets surprisingly hot. @Dan do you find that with the demo...

    Aspect Ratio

Thanks to Use-IP for sending me the cube camera DS-2CD2455FWD-IW. Great image quality. This has the latest firmware, which prompted for the IE browser plugin to be updated, to version 3.0.7.11 I notice in this version the option to set aspect ration to be correct ie 16:9 is now missing...

New Hikvision products - Easter 2019

Ah thanks Dan - my mistake. Hikvision must be close to holding the record for so many variations of products! I assume the current I series NVRs continue then, and that DS-7608NI-I2-8P will be available again when stock arrives?

New Hikvision products - Easter 2019

Thanks for the update Phil - I followed the first link, hoping to see details of the new NVRs but it seems to go to the generic Hikvision page here, The NVRs I see are those that have been there for a while. I saw new 'Q' series NVRs on Hikvision's own site - assume those are the ones - do you...

    7700 Series NVRs

In reviewing Hikvision NVRs I see their UK website lists a 7700 series range of NVRs now. Do you have any plans to stock those, as I assume they will replace the 7600s?
