If it is connected to your router and is getting an IP address you should be able to add the IP address to the DVR.

Paul, this was the case a while ago but they no longer provide static IP's on home Broadband accounts.

As long as the NVR is on your network then you can simply browse to the IP address of the NVR and login to it and configure it in there. The initial configurations will need to be done hooked up to a screen though. After that just access it over the network. Use the app on your tablet for...

Home broadband providers will allocate you an IP address but this will change at various times. So it may work for weeks and then Sky will issue a new address. If you wanted a dedicated static address that always stays the same you would most likely have to go for a business broadband account...
