Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Try loading the latest firmware then run the query again. Let me know if <isSupportPlatformAccess> changes.

    hikvision nvr not seeing cameras

Best guess - The "no more ip cams allowed" message appears when you try add new cameras (on some NVR models) as it pre-populates all the channels with Plug-and-Play by default. When you try add a new camera you get this message. Instead of adding, try editing one of the existing entries, like...

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Glad to hear you get Response 200. Please amend and paste this into Chrome: http://admin:yourPassword@192.168.1.xx/ISAPI/System/Network/EZVIZ I'm hoping you get a something similar to the following. Paste what ever comes back please. The response from this would help to...

    hikvision nvr not seeing cameras

The DS-7608NI-SE/P is fairly old and probably can't recognise the more recent HiLook cameras with that firmware version. Updating the firmware might resolve the issue. First check the NVRs serial number, if it has a CH in it don't proceed as it's likely a grey market version and you run the risk...

Space on SD Card - big differences

That's interesting. I recall having the option to change the I-Frame interval when using H265+ but you're right, it's greyed out on my camera too. The help documentation confirms its unchangeable when using H265+. Maybe in an earlier version of the firmware? I'll look into it.

    hikvision nvr not seeing cameras

Hard to say. Please provide additional info: Model of the NVR and which firmware version it is on. Model of the cameras that are not connecting and their firmware version. Are they genuine Hikvision cameras or Chinese grey market (grey market have a CH in the serial number). How are you...

    Hikvision DS-7600NI-I2/8P question.

I don't have any experience with the Ctronics range so I'm guessing. Check the Protocol/Management Port. Hikvision will use the default port of 8443 normally. It looks like Ctronics uses 8091. The user is: admin and password:123456 for Ctronics cameras, unless you changed it. Keep us posted.

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Using the Restlet client: Open Chrome. If the Restlet extension is installed you should see an icon at the end of the address bar. Click it. Once loaded, click 'Use without an account' on the splash screen. Next we need to test the camera will accept HTTP requests. Amend and paste the...

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Provided you are still on firmware v5.5.0 or newer, one thing to try before going the Restlet route. I've attached a link to the latest web plugin that allows full functionality for Chrome and FF. I can't attach it here as the forum seems to have a size limit. New web plugin. As before...

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Enable CGI in Integration Protocol in the meantime too. I see you have already created a user called admin. To keep things simple make sure you set the user password to the same password you set for the camera (if you had not already).

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

The Restlet client is to send commands via HTTP requests. There is a possibility that you can activate Platform Access and setup a user even if the option is not visible. I'll put the steps together in a walk-through this afternoon.

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

I see your version is current, missed that. Enable ONVIF, Network>Advanced Settings>Integration Protocol. It might be possible to activate it via ISAPI. You'll need the Restlet Client plugin for Chrome loaded to proceed.

    DS-2CD2455FWD-IW Firmware

I only use Scott Lamb's version which can be found here: scottlamb/hikvision-tftpd It requires a bit of Python know-how. I can put a step-by-step guide together if needed. Let me know.

    DS-2CD2455FWD-IW Firmware

Which firmware did you use v5.6.x? A link to the firmware download might help too. Hikvision's TFTP recovery (the older version) does have a size limitation on the firmware file. I suspect you'll need to use one of the modified TFTP apps to do this.

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Your web-plugin 'might' be the issue. It's quite an old version. I'm not aware of a repository for the various versions of Webcomponents.exe plugin but I've attached v3.0.6.46, a much more recent version than you have installed. The release notes for v5.5.0 firmware leads me to think this might...

Hikvision DS-2DF7286-AEL - Missing "Platform Access" in Network, Advanced Settings

Your PTZ is listed as R3 series. The attached v5.5.0 release notes mention hik-connect functionality. The DS-2DF7286-AEL is listed on page 11. Maybe a lead.

Space on SD Card - big differences

Phil is correct on scene complexity playing a factor. I'm not an expert on H265+ but as a rule it works best when the background information rarely changes. H265+ relies on a reference frame with minimal variance for optimal compression. Your backyard has significantly less scene complexity and...

    Camera disabled or not connected

Do you remember what the firmware (more or less) your DS-7716NI-14/16P was on before you upgraded to V4.21.008? Was it on an earlier version of v4 or did you come up from v3.xx?
