What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

I’ve just fitted a second unit to a parish hall in a little Welsh village - now you can’t complain at getting speeds like these!

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

They have a 4g option as well for £14 a month. 14 day return if you're not happy with it. Unlimited as well.

    Third Stream on Hikvision DVR?

From my understanding - third streams only work in certain circumstances. I don't think you can view it directly via your NVR. I use third streams as 'live-streams' and a program called OBS takes the stream and converts it for transmission. I have a feeling that it's intended for live-streaming...

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

Then definitely look at the Three coverage in your area - this is the speedtest I've just run on a remote PC at a church at the top of a mountain, which realistically isn't actually that near any mobile towers, but due to its height I think we've been lucky to get a decent connection. These...

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

Is there a broadband connection existing in any building? As mentioned which is the nearest building that you control with a broadband connection ? It doesn’t matter if it’s not at that site if it’s within around a km…

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

Based on your photo above then yes you could use a wireless bridge - the cost of the parts would be likely less than £200 and you’d use your existing network and there would be no ongoing charges. You’d run a network cable to a receiver/transmitter from your existing router at one end - and then...

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

If your NVR was at the yellow arrow - but your own building with the broadband connection was at A B or C for example - you could use a wireless bridge rather than a 4G router. They can work over quite a distance.

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

I'm trying to work out if a wireless bridge would solve your problem - as you'd not need a 4g/5g router at all then.

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

Can you mark on the photo specifically where is your building and where is the location of the cameras and power supply ? Can’t really work out from what you’ve said there. Mark it with A for your building and B for the location of the power and NVR. I’m not worried about what doesn’t belong...

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

So how far is your building from the site in question? What's the geography between your place and the site? Three also have a 4g router that if the signal is good could be an option at £14 a month.

What's the cost of cctv via mobile/cell network?

How far is the middle of the field from a building where the NVR might be located on a network? Is it within line of sight? If the host building is within say a km or less - you can use a type of WIFI bridge - but would need more details. I've just connected a brand new 5g router from Three on...

    Hik-Connect PTZ - can't go right

Hik connect only - and every and any ptz. Various brands. Some hik some not hik. Whether controlled through an NVR or stand alone added. iPhone X isn’t the latest phone - but it’s still fairly recent using the latest iOS.

Mouse receiver only works in front USB on NVR?

What sort of distance is it? The logitech 2.4ghz mice I'm using work at a distance of around 10m without any issue.

    Hik-Connect PTZ - can't go right

PTZ video If you click the above link you'll see what I mean. I'm using an Iphone X - and everything is up to date on the latest version. When I want to go left up or down - no problem. As soon as I want to go right - it starts swiping the screen instead of moving the camera (and is very...

Mouse receiver only works in front USB on NVR?

Why not get a £10 wireless logitech mouse with a dongle? (Not the bluetooth one) - I use these all the time now as I regularly hide my NVR's.

Grainy image from DS-2CD2387G2-LU 4K ColorVu turret camera?

If you're seeing banding across your screen while watching the live view - it'll be due to the frequency of the lights (Particularly if they are LED's). You'll need to adjust your shutter speed to a setting where it's no longer seen (Usually around 1/100th of a second does it for me)

    Hikvision on 4g

I currently run an 8 channel on a 3g/4g router via the Three network and it operates flawlessly. I can access the system 24/7 for live images and get all the various alerts through as and when. So assuming you have a decent signal, I don't see why not.

AX PRO Ax Pro alarm - Master blaster sounder.

Funny you mention that - I was trying out a wireless microphone the other day ready to fit in a local church, and the AX Pro started sending me notification warnings of jamming attempts - so there must have been something going on with the frequencies that it didn't like. I don't recall it being...

Replace ColorVu with a darkfighter turret for better night vision?

Whenever you have a large proportion of wall in an image fairly close - you'll get infra red blowout on the majority of cameras on that surface. How cameras then cope with the other half of the non-wall image can be very variable. So you either need to come out from the wall on a bracket (will...
