New to this forum and CCTV

Both of the items you've linked are pretty much the same as my original reply - yes they're camera systems, but you'll likely be disappointed by their performance, access and longevity. You say you live in a flat - do you have permission from the freeholder to mount cameras on the external...

New to this forum and CCTV

I'll be brutally blunt with you, and it might not be what you want to hear - but it's a fairly basic system built to a budget (a very low budget) - and the longevity of the system can be demonstrated by reading through the multiple one and two star reviews. Yes it's a camera system, yes you'll...

Door Entry How does one remote administer a video intercom?

Is it your own video intercom - or a customers? I don't have experience of the intercom - but I do have experience of accessing remotely if there's a Windows PC at the location that's always on (Might be something that you have - might not be - but I'll share it anyway to give you an option to...

Hik-Connect Delayed notification hik connect app on iPhone 14?

Appears to be a common issue being reported by several users on the forum. I imagine someone at Hikvision will notice soon enough and try and fix it - if not the admin's of the boards here will no doubt send them a message tomorrow to find out what the update is, if it's ongoing.

Urgent - Hikvision Notifications Delayed iPhone

Funnily enough I noticed the same this evening - about an hour's delay - but I haven't updated anything on my phone - so I imagine it'll be at the Hikvision server end. Hopefully someone will notice and put it back the way it was or fix it.

Advice on connecting a garden cctv camera to HikVision DVR

And if the above doesn't work - create a wireless bridge. Use a POE network switch at the outbuilding side to provide power to a POE camera - than connect the network switch to one of a pair of transmitter receivers - with the other transmitter receiver at the house end - then cable that to the...

Day/night settings on a HDTVi (HD analogue) camera (DS-2CE72UF3T-E)?

From my knowledge - I believe the options are either 'off - on - or auto' - So on all the time, off all the time, or on when it gets dark and off when it gets light. I don't think there's the option to have it come on when it detects movement. You'd likely need a different camera model for that...

    Poor wifi for cctv

Have you tried running a speed checker to see the actual speeds across various 4g networks? some of them can be quite reasonable now. I get 20-30 mbps on download and 15-20 upload on Vodafone 4g where I am. You could get a free/low cost sim from each carrier - test them out to see which offers...

    POE Distance Issue

Possibly the shutter speeds in tandem with the frequency of the ambient lighting? Is it something that only happens at night? Or is it day and night?

    Poor wifi for cctv

Some Hikvision cameras have wifi capabilities - and as such you could log into the camera to reduce quality settings to suit the available bandwidth - but the danger would be by going so low in quality that the end result picture might not be overly useable. Have you looked at changing broadband...

    Poor wifi for cctv

What cameras are you using now? Are they connected to a network video recorder? When you say you're having difficulty keeping connected - do you mean your cameras are wifi based? Or that your phone/tablet/laptop isn't able to access them due to poor internet? If they are wifi based - what's...

    POE Distance Issue

I can echo the above having recently used some Ubiquiti stuff to create a wireless bridge - non-ubiquiti POE switches wouldn't power a Ubiquiti unit that could be POE powered, and a Ubiquiti POE injector that I had wouldn't run a camera. So from my own experience I'd say try a different brand -...

Day/night settings on a HDTVi (HD analogue) camera (DS-2CE72UF3T-E)?

Ok that'll be helpful to those that know the camera better than I do. You do realise that when the light goes off though, if it's pretty dark - the camera will see mostly nothing. It's currently set to come on automatically when the light falls, so that it can illuminate the area directly in...

POE Cameras at 75m distance dropping connection?

I'm not familiar with Swann systems, but you could look at using a POE switch at the NVR end of the cable that has long range capabilities, and is suited to surveillance camera use. There's a TP-Link switch that I've used that has been working quite well - where it claims to be able to operate...

Day/night settings on a HDTVi (HD analogue) camera (DS-2CE72UF3T-E)?

Day / Night is greyed out as that usually controls the infra red lights. Your camera model doesn't have infra red - but a mini white LED light. As this isn't a camera I've used - I'll have to let the experts guide you as to whether it's customisable. (I believe it is - and it's in a different...

Hikvision NVR DS-7608NI-I2/8P (B) Mouse Question

I've used Logitech cheap end wireless mice for around £10 on Amazon - and have one where the NVR is about ten metres away, and works perfectly.

DS-2CD2347G2 Very low frame rate at night?

Check what your 'slowest' shutter speed is set to. If it's too long - you'll only get a few frames per second - however shortening it will likely result in a poorer image as less light will reach the sensor. It's a bit trial and error - I like to keep the slowest speed to around 1/100 if I can...

Hikvision PTZ not working at night but works ok during the day?

Works fine as in - has picture - can move - records? And then between those times - powers down and you get nothing?

32 Cameras with only 16 port NVR?

Apologies - I thought the model number quoted was a 16 channel only - can see that although it has the 16 in the model number, it does in fact have 32 available channels - and yes as above - a POE switch will be just the answer.

32 Cameras with only 16 port NVR?

You need another 16 channel NVR. You can't connect 32 cameras to a 16 channel NVR. It's 16 channels - so 16 cameras.
