Dan - I can already see the above has fixed the problem… latest file is 8 mins and 44 MB in size and growing. Good given I made the change 8 mins ago. Thanks again - much appreciated.

How Do I Download 7hrs of Footage from my Hikvision NVR?

Thanks very much Dan - makes sense. Have now painted everything blue and will advise in next day how it goes. And looking at previous recordings it’s now obvious that not all time was being recorded (ie there were gaps between recordings between each file). No wonder I was getting 5-6 weeks...

How Do I Download 7hrs of Footage from my Hikvision NVR?

Hi Dan - yes all cameras are set to Continuous Recording Under Storage>Schedule Settings per below image (as I assume the red box around "Continuous" means that is selected).

How Do I Download 7hrs of Footage from my Hikvision NVR?

Hi Dan, I’ve got a DS-7616NI-M2 / 16P NVR and am using a web browser to access the system. I found the below setting which I set to 300 mins, but it’s still only recording packets of around 30 seconds in duration (see second image). Firmware Version is V4.61.430 build 231123 Appreciate...

Firmware Latest HikVision Firmware for M-Series NVRs (with 5.0 GUI) - V5.01.060_240110

Interesting observation there in in Australia, they made v5 of the software available about a week ago, but just noticed it’s been removed and the latest available for download is v4.61.430 again. So hopefully acknowledgement that current v5 is not fit for deployment.

Thanks for continuing to follow-up. Hopefully HikVision can figure it out and issue fix in next firmware update.

New M series and setting up platform access?

Whether my iPhone is connected to the same network as the NVR (with WIFI) or is connected to a different network (with 5G), I get the same result. Interestingly, sometimes 1 image appears but the others don’t per attached photo. I’ve got the latest firmware installed on my M series NVR and all...

New M series and setting up platform access?

Could this be your issue - see Post in thread 'Hik-Connect "Loading Pictures Failed" for new cameras?' Hik-Connect - Hik-Connect "Loading Pictures Failed" for new cameras? As I’m having this exact same reported issue which is confirmed by HikVision as a bug. I have iOS, an M Series NVR and...

Noisy fan hikvision NVR solved with silent power bricks

Hi - thanks for documenting the above. I've changed the case fan and it has definitely made it quieter and now looking change the PSU fan also. For the PSU fan, I found a Micro JST PH 2.0mm 2-Pin connector doesn't fit the socket (because of socket shape) on the PSU. See attached for photos of...

New M Series NVR - First Impressions

Thanks again for your thoughts. My security guy who came to quote up the camera install for me told me that he unplugs the case fans a lot for clients to get rid of the noise, and as far as he knows, has never seen a problem (they provide a 3 year warranty on all installs incl equipment) and no...

New M Series NVR - First Impressions

Thanks for that and yes was thinking to do the same if too much noise. Some other thoughts I’m thinking about which I’m sure you have also considered: - Install silent fans but use a controller to run the fan at a slower speed. - Replace the NVR cover with wire mesh only (similar to the wire...

New M Series NVR - First Impressions

Hi, thanks for your detailed description of the new M series NVR - appreciated. A quick question - how noisy is the NVR box? I'm thinking of having it in the lounge room in the TV cabinet but am worried it might be too noisy / distracting (note I haven't had an NVR before so all new to me, and...
