    sadp tool mac

Hi @seanjamescameron See this previous forum thread: https://forum.use-ip.co.uk/forum/threads/vs-player-no-longer-works-with-mac-os-sonama.11104/ As far as we are aware, several of the Hikvision Mac Tools are no longer supported by Macs running MacOS Sonama or newer.

    Error code

Okay, Do you have a PC on the same local network as the NVR? As Hik-connect was already enabled, I think the error is most likely to do with the NVR already being connected/bound to a previous user. You will need to install the Hikvision SADP Tool onto a PC on the same network as the NVR and...

    Error code

Thanks @Monty How did you add the NVR to the Hik-Connect app? Did you enable Hik-connect or was it already enabled when you first opened the Platform Access menu?

EZVIZ CP4 - mp4 videos do not play when reading from SD card or Mac

Hi @eskim_urtigas Apologies I forgot about this Mac issue. Ventura is the version that came before Sonama so the issue is likely to be the same, as explained in that thread, Hikvision does not plan to maintain VSPlayer for Mac anymore so updating your MacOS is unlikely to fix the problem...

    Error code

Thanks @Monty How did you add the NVR to the Hik-Connect app? In the NVR menu on the direct monitor, under Network > Advanced > Platform Access, is Hik-Connect enabled? Did you enable it or was it already enabled when you first accessed the NVR? Can you also go to Maintenance > System Info >...

EZVIZ CP4 - mp4 videos do not play when reading from SD card or Mac

Hi @eskim_urtigas EZVIZ and Hikvision cameras use compression on their video files, this means that when the files are exported they are not in a standard MP4 format and are not usually recognised by most video players. We would recommend trying Hikvision's VSPlayer which should be able to...

    New installation

Hi @GaryL We always recommend that you provide the camera with more PoE than its max. PoE draw. So with this PTZ requiring a max. 42W, we would recommend that you position a 60W PoE Injector between the switch and the camera to make sure that the camera is receiving enough power. If you...

    Error code

Hi @Monty Can you please confirm the model number for the product that is giving you this error code? What firmware version is the model currently running? Where are you seeing this error code? In the mobile app, when accessing with a browser, or somewhere else?

Recommendations for Hikvision WiFi Pan & Tilt Cameras

Hi @ronl The below Hikvision PT WiFi model was recently announced for UK/EU market (stock is not yet available), but I don't know if you will be able to source this model in your region: DS-2DE2C400IWG/W

Strange Things Happening with Passwords on Hikvision NVR & Cameras

Hi @Ramses The password issue you describe is a common one that confuses people. Were all your cameras directly connected to the PoE ports on the old NVR? if they were, they would have been activated with the old NVR password. Once activated with this password, the cameras will hold onto...

    Changed router

Hi @shreenap Are your cameras directly connected to the PoE ports on the NVR or connected to separate PoE Injectors/Switches on the local network? Do you have a PC connected to the same router/local network as the NVR and cameras?

How to add a DS-2CD1643G2-IZ camera to a DS-7608NI-SE/P nvr

Hi @StefanoB Speaking with my colleagues they agree with me that it is very unlikely that updating this firmware would brick your NVR. Cameras/NVRs only end up bricked if they are loaded with the wrong firmware (you are using the firmware recommended by HiTools so not a problem) and in the...

How to add a DS-2CD1643G2-IZ camera to a DS-7608NI-SE/P nvr

Hi @StefanoB We would recommend you do it in two steps because, with the age of the NVR, it will reduce the risk of issues/glitches after the updates. I think it is unlikely that you will lose any substantial amount of your configuration, if you are worried about this you can export the...

Change how long recordings are stored?

Hi @IMF73 What size of HDD have you got installed in the DVR? How many cameras do you have connected to the DVR and what resolution are they recording at? (could you share screenshots of the stream/video settings of your cameras)

Where Can I Find PC Software for Managing Dauha?

Hi @sylla The software you use to manage a Dauha system is dependent on the size of the system. If it is a smaller residential or small business system, then you can use DSS Express which supports up to 64 Dauha cameras for free.

    Camera hikvision DS-2CD2442FWD-IW permanent reboot.

Hi @Focster It sounds like it could be a fault with the camera, based on what you've said in your post I think the only other thing you could try would be to hard reset the camera. The reset button is on the back of the camera under the RJ45 Network port, to reset the camera follow these...

    Problem with IP POE system

Thanks @collectors Unfortunately, those product pages are not all that helpful as they don't have full specs stating the power usage of these camera models (this is very common with cheap cameras) but from the looks of them I wouldn't expect either of them to use more than standard PoE (15.4W)...

How to add a DS-2CD1643G2-IZ camera to a DS-7608NI-SE/P nvr

Hi @StefanoB I would recommend that you update the NVR to the latest/last firmware version - V3.0.22_170621 - and then try adding the camera again using the method I described.
