Hi All, I've had the DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P and the extra cameras installed and configured yestrday. The issue with the anpr not saving images/clips of reg plates is now solved so it was definately the DS-7604NI-K1 / B NVR not being compatible with the anpr camera. Thank you all for the advice.

Hi Everyone, Just an update - I've had my remaining colorvu cameras installed yesterday and ended up using the saddle clamps to mount the camera on the 25mm pole/pipe which worked really good and was secured. Therefore, thanks to everyone's ideas.

Thanks Dave I’ve actually bought the U clamps and the Saddle Distance brackets so will see which is the best option for me when the installer comes and fits the camera next month. thanks

Hi Dave the Anpr is very good at catching number plates at night. As the night picture is pitch black (that’s how the Anpr cameras are supposed to work to get number plates at night), I’m in the process of getting a ColorVu installed just below the Anpr so that I can get the normal footage...

Hi please ignore this thread as I’ve got it working. I enabled DHCP and then disabled it again to use a static ip and enabled NAT/UPnP and set Port Mapping to Auto. All working. Thanks

Hi Dan Just an update in that I reset the video settings on the Bullet and ColorVu to Default and then changed to use H265+ with “Higher” (not Highest) on both cameras and it set a default max bitrate setting to 10240kbps and 6144kbps respectively. If I then change the Resolution to the max...

Thanks - is there much difference between Higher and Highest video quality and if there is, how much percentage should I add to the bitrate figure in the recommended chart for the mainstream setting running at 25fps.

Thanks - yes I’m using Hik Connect using HD mode as the BASIC mode doesn’t give me good quality.

Currently my bitrate settings are as follow for main stream/sub-stream 8MP bulltet = 5120 kbps/2048 kbps 4MP ColorVu = 6144 kbps/2048 kbps Are the above OK or should I increase them? Also, Smoothing level set to 1 - What should I realistically set this to? Thanks
