A quick question guys, our ColourVu cameras (and NVR) were set up by a third party installer. The cameras were set up on medium quality video and bitrate 2560. Can it cause any problems if I change the settings to 4096 bitrate and video quaity to highest? I've changed one of the cameras...

The cameras when installed (by a third party installer) were installed automatically so are on the NVR network not the home network. In the end I gave up on using the third stream and just used the second stream and brought that into Homebridge / HomeKit.

Oh that would likely work but.... the NVR is upstairs in my wifes office and NAS is inside my desk in the dining room, total opposite end of the house. They are joined via my Orbi mesh router system, and the Orbis are linked via Ethernet cabling fitted in trunking which goes runs externally...

Thanks for confirming that... The CFO (wife) is strongly against any additional spending on IT now that I'm retired...... So no purchase of additoional switches or additional ethernet cabling (in conduit externally round the house) VLC did work I just had to authenticate it for each test. :)...
