Okay, If the HDD is failing to format then that probably means there is a major fault with the HDD, as the HDD is just over a year old it should be within warranty and Connectec should be able to supply you with a replacement.

Hi @bline86 Yes, the next step would be formatting the HDD. If the repair hasn't worked then that likely means that the HDD is faulty, it might not be completely faulty so if you format the HDD it might start recording again and you'll just have to leave it and see how long the HDD runs...
