So I've linked a cat6 cable from the router to the nvr temporarily and changed the bit rate to the recommended settings but still get green screen in HD viewing. I guess the HikConnect app can't handle 4k images. I'm now stuck as to what to do. Will have to live with clear 2k images on my 4mp...

Just run a test with laptop direct to the router and got 216 dl 20 upl. Repeated the test from the tp link and got 45 to 50 dl x3. Upl was 20. I repeated the direct to router and got 230+ upl.

Had it plugged into an extension on the old swann system and it was problematic sometimes. These are in to the wall socket.

Thank you for all your help. I will try this and if like you are thinking is the issue then I will have to run a cable some how from the router to the nvr. There is some virgin media cables in a box in the cupboard up stairs where the nvr is. I'm told these are for if you want virgin media up...

Is the bit rate determined by the Internet then. Not by what I manually do? The only thing to note is my nvr is not plugged in to the router directly as its upstairs. It's on a wired tp link.

My current settings. Changed just now to 25fps from full frame.

This is a screen shot. What is trigger alarm out put? I want it to alarm at the nvr when the line is crossed like it did on my 4mp. Is everything ticked that should be?

Great, yeah it I series. I'm still peeved that there is no led trigger yet on detection. Also in hik connect the green goes 3/4 green when I press hd from basic. I can play back fine and when I do get some notifications then I can not vue the playback from the notification.

Is this Web access to the nvr or direct through the nvr

Is the the Web page or directly on the nvr the interface? The local nvr direct doesn't have that option and the nvr Web browser shows blank picture on the 8mp camera selection. The 4mp has the picture showing though

Did any one fix this issue. I had 2 x 4mp colorvu cameras that worked perfectly with HD in the app. I just replaced 1 camera 1 camera with an 8mp colorvu and now I get a green screen on my new camera with HD seems odd that a professional cctv system has an issue like this.
