OK, that doesn't always work...did the error code (that was 0x1007 on the Hik-connect setting page) change?
Also, probably better to remove the phone app device page above as it shows the NVR serial number, not a big deal, but better to not show it.
Then, try changing your preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8
EDIT: You will need to uncheck "Enable obtain DNS serv..." before you can manually edit the DNS server to 8.8.8.8
Now I'm rambling on about something I've already gotten over... you can drag the tabs to reorder them, but after a re-boot the system puts them back where it wants... so what's the point in letting me reorder them if they don't stay that way :(
Yes... here's where to set it from the NVR web GUI for generic event motion detection:
There are also smarter intrusion detection and line crossing events if you hit "Perimeter Protection".
For anyone interested in the source code or compiling the executable on their own, I have published the "Hikvision Image Parameters Switch Utility" project to GitHub:
GitHub - jfitzee/Hik_IPS: Hikvision Image Parameters Switch Utility
It's my first time using GitHub so let me know if something...
If you have a mouse and monitor connected to the NVR, since you're getting that error message, maybe copy the .dav file to a USB flash drive and try installing from the NVR menus.
I'm reviewing this thread, and I see @JB1970 just slipped this ^^^^ in and nobody seemed to notice... I can't stop cracking up LOL LOL LOL
This is probably not relevant, but I notice in your video you have 99+ unread notifications... I wonder how many there are? Reminds me of my neighbor with...
I'd bet the solution is somewhere here already... sometimes it's good to take a break from these things and when you look again the answer jumps right out!
Not sure if these were already available here but I found release notes for V5.04.020 build 241106 here:
https://assets.hikvision.com/prd/public/all/files/202411/releasenote%5CK21B1_K22B1_V5.04.020_build241106_ReleaseNotes.pdf
I found this potentially interesting:
Is this new? Does it mean...
I'm running DS-7616NI-M2/16P V5.04.020 build 241106 with DS-2CD2387G2-LU V5.7.19 build 241207...
I briefly tried that V5.04.050 ARC version and everything was the same.
I'm only addressing these two comments:
I just tried again with motion detection set like this:
I even set the NVR to...
Yes, six DS-2CD2387G2-LU and one DS-2CD2087G2-LU all running V5.7.19 build 241207.
I hope I'm not confused/misleading you guys...
Confirm for me under what circumstances should I see the timeline markers... it's been so long since I did see them...
I still (do now) see them for human/vehicle...
Or the seller was nice enough to set the cameras to inactive before he removed the NVR. That's probably too optimistic. :(
I never tried, but if you plug an activated (random password already set) camera into the NVR, the "Show Password" function wouldn't work I suppose? :(
I did need to program from scratch... not so bad once, but that could get tired real fast! Was very careful about removing the NVR from my Hik-Connect account before I did the upgrade/downgrade.
I don't think that is the V5.04.050 build we were waiting for... it really just seemed to add that...
