    Sorry David, I did. But I'm afraid I don't understand. Am I to change the router's IP address? I'm hesitant to do something I don't get. Nothing else has tried to take 192.168.1.1, so why would I change it?

    I bought it from one of our local suppliers online. The NVR is standard and very common but the cameras were a special order (the ability to take a physical line-in was not standard). I'm concerned that the firmware dropdown is greyed out to begin with - this is not the case on the cameras...

    Thanks David. I don't think this model has a WAN interface, unless I"m totally clueless. I don't know where to find the WAN address if there is one... I believe the NVR is from the EU, I'm in South Africa. The manual includes EU compliance stuff.

    Yes, Yes, rebooted router and NVR. I enabled DHCP again. It's now decided on .101 but shown as bound to .104 I've been struggling here on another thread to upgrade - managed the cameras but not the NVR. Waiting to find a resolution.

    Thanks for responding David. I'm not sure what to do,because even though I've bound it, it keeps changing. Just to be sure, is the "enable" icon supposed to be like this or this Sometimes toggles are confusing and there's no hint.

    I just disabled DHCP on the NVR and entered the address manually. I think that was the issue. Hopefully sorted!

    Hi @David Not sure if you're able to assist. Since binding the IP of the NVR, each time I've restarted it gives me a different IP. I've no idea why it's not sticking. Bound to .104, now it's .106. Any ideas what to troubleshoot?

    Thanks for these links Dan. I'm in South Africa, and it looks like I have the EU versions (both manuals have EU conformity statements). I'll try the latest firmware now and report back. Is there any risk in using these files, or would I just get an error before the upgrade takes place?

    Thanks Dan. The issue is that no events are found in the "Playback" menu. Only if I go to the "Search" menu will I find any motion events. And if I try a broad search for "human" I get nothing (except one random video for no apparent reason). Not using face matching. Normally one would see...
